Bedroom Design Project 3403

Customer's Request
The room we would like to furnish is a master bedroom, we have saved in our Wish list some modern styled furniture we like. Other than the wardrobe we would love to have a bit of space for a frameless mirror which covers up the entire width of the wall, is that possible? The mirror is at 60 cm from the floor, so I would love to use the space below and add a bench where we can seat while we put our shoes on for example. As to bed style, we like those solutions with wall panelling however we are wondering if it is possible to install lamps on the panels to avoid putting them on the bedside tables. Finishes must be elegant, colours sober with shades of taupe and beige.

The Interior Designer's Comment
The bedroom has been organised by adding a wardrobe on the left side of the hallway and the bed structure on the opposite side, following the presence of the electrical system. The wardrobe area has been equipped with a closet featuring doors with recess grip, the layout is composed of doors and drawers. We used most of the space in height so we were able to leave enough room for a big frameless mirror which covers up the remaining wall. The niche at the far side of the wall is suitable for a convenient ottoman with storage, which can be used either as a seat or to store blankets and linen.

On the opposite side, we added the bed composed of a frame with mattress and an independent modular wall panelling which replaces the classic headboard. The layout is made of two lacquered panels on the sides just behind the bedside tables and two upholstered panels in the middle covering up the width of the bed frame (upholstered as well). Our suggestion is to fix the lamps to the wall instead that to the panel, in this way they are not visually too close to one another and they can get all the attention they deserve. We selected a model with glass lampshade and place them where the bedside tables are.

The colour palette includes neutral shades for an elegant yet sober result. We suggest a wall decoration as an alternative to classic white.
