Description

Kids Bedroom Project no. 42393

Customer Request
I would like to furnish my kids bedroom: we need to consider the fact that their age is different so each one of them needs his/her own space. We need two beds, one desk with bookcase and free space to play. We don't need a wardrobe for clothes. We prefer neutral colours like white and beige (the wall on the right of the entrance door will be painted in beige).

The Interior Designer's Comments
Starting from the actual shape of the room which is narrow and long, we opted to maximize the space by choosing a bunk bed. This option has the pros of using the space vertically instead of horizontally and this is particularly useful if the surface available does not allow the use of two single beds like in this case. The bunk bed comes with a frontal ladder placed close to the entrance in this way it does not stand in the way and two removable satefy rails hooked on the upper side. The lower side is furnished with two convenient chest of drawers where you can place bed linen and blankets.
The study area is next to the beds and it consists of a desk with shaped and customised top; the harmonic and curvy shape of the top has a bigger depth towards the beds and it reduces towards the window. The chest of drawers stand on the floor and it's a convenient storage accessory that also supports the top. The furniture solution is completed with a wall-mounted modular shelving unit, composed of different elements that give a dynamic look to the design which will work great also when the kids are grown up.
The area on the right side of the entrance has been left free and is going to be used by the kids as a space where to play, in the future it can be furnished with other items according to the kids needs and age. The wall can be decorated with pictures, posters or wall units if the needs for additional storage units arises.
