Description

Living Room / Sitting Room Project 3403

Customer Request
Our living area is an open space which includes a kitchen, a dining area and a relax area with sofa. We already have the kitchen but we want some suggestions in order to add a coffee area which can be matched to the rest of the furniture. We would like the dining table to be extendable, chairs can also be different from one another. I have selected among your products a sideboard I'd like to combine with a wine rack which I already own. We want to divide the environments with a bookcase, regarding the sofa we prefer models with pull-out seats covered in a fabric that is easy to clean (we have a dog). Instead of a classic TV we have a projector placed in front of the bookcase so, if it's possible, we would like you to design a panel on the back of the sofa to install the necessary equipment and hide the cables. I have selected some of your products and added them to my Wish list but I'm open to alternatives. Colours I like are warm with tones of bordeaux, orange, brown ...

Interior Designer's Comment

Starting from the kitchen/dining area, we propose to use the niche on the right side of the fridge and install a customised coffee area there. We used a floor cabinet with door whose top is the perfect surface for a coffee machine; just above we placed a shelf and a wall unit to create enough space for mugs and cups and always have them close at hand.

The dining area is furnished with a sideboard placed between the windows and an extending dining table close to it. The floor standing sideboard is composed of doors and drawers and it has been designed so that we can include the wine rack thanks to the combination of an extended top and an extra side. The dining table has been chosen by the customer, it is extendable and it matches for design and finishes the rest of the environment. In order to complete this space we recommend modern upholstered chairs in a practical faux-leather, which makes the everyday cleaning easier, especially in the presence of pets. Seats can be covered with the same faux-leather but in different shades, in this way we can give movement and style.

We added a double-sided bookcase to divide the different areas in a light yet functional way and without the need of using walls. More in specific, we added Airport floor-to-ceiling modular bookcase (chosen by the customer). Placed between the dining and seating area, you can divide with elegance two different environments while at the same time using shelves and storage units to conceal electronic devices.

The relax area is featured with a linear sofa with pull-out seats and a design armchair with a timeless design. To allow the full opening of the French windows we placed the sofa towards the corridor, the empty space has been furnished with two end tables particularly convenient as extra surfaces next to the sofa. The main colour of the environment is bordeaux, which defines some of the accessories, matched to warm shades as beige and taupe enhancing the elegance of the room.
