KLab 09 is a customised concealed kitchen equipped with folding doors that when closed, hide the working area from view, while when open disappear inside the structure to allow easy access to the cooking and sink areas. Next to the working area are two pairs of columns that complete the kitchen by housing a built-in refrigerator, oven, wine cellar and a practical storage compartment.
A distinctive feature of this concealed kitchen cabinet is the pair of folding doors that are hinged by the Salice Exedra2 Star mechanism, a special mechanical system charaterised by an assisted and cushioned movement that allows the doors to open and close with a simple gesture. By pulling the handle, the folding doors open and close independently, allowing the user to switch from the "open kitchen" to the closed "kitchen cabinet" version in an instant. Once closed, the doors disappear inside the structure so they do not get in the way while working.
Klab 09 is a transformable kitchen designed for living areas that combine living room and kitchen: hiding the working area will provide greater formal cleanliness and the ability to fully experience your living space when the kitchen is not in use. For this reason, concealed kitchens, originally created for studio apartments and small houses, are also increasingly used in larger settings such as lofts and large open space.
The kitchen is equipped with the best appliances on the market, both in terms of efficiency and design: Smeg induction oven and hob, concealed hood with smoked glass front, Liebher built-in refrigerator, Brooklyn Schock sink in absolute black Cristalite® with matching Aquamill faucet and with wine cellar with pull-out wooden drawers, containing up to 41 bottles.
Columns and folding doors are made of matte PET and fitted with black rubberized handles, while the working area features doors in dark elm melamine. The internal structure is in titanium melamine; the plinth and groove are in black matte aluminium. Top in stone-effect HPL with 45° cut. The kitchen is also equipped with soft closing drawers, cutlery racks and dustbin kit.
