Botero by Cattelan is a table with a large pedestal base in clay trowelled by hand, a material workmanship that is unique to each piece.
Inspired by the full, round forms of the artist from whom it takes its name, the Botero table can have a top in different shapes: round, rectangular, barrel-shaped, oval or in the shape of an irregular polygon. This variety of models is accompanied by an equally wide choice of materials, allowing the table to be configured in stone-effect ceramic, in veneered wood, in spatulated clay to match the base, or even in wood with a central swivel element in ceramic.
The dimensions of the base vary with the size of the top: Botero can therefore have a narrower, tapered central leg, or an imposing clay block under the top. On the other hand, the materials and finishes that constitute it do not change, nor do the unmistakable organic andsoft shapes.
