Shield is an extending table for open spaces, characterized by many customization options. Shield is available 140, 160, 180 and 200 cm long with one or two extension leaves hidden under the top. The legs always remain on the four corners to give to your guests the best comfort. The frame is made of painted metal, with corner joint in aluminium; legs are either in painted metal or brushed stainless steel. The top and extension leaves are available in Cleaf laminate or Fenix, wood, glass and ceramic; the bevelled edges and rounded corners are refined details that characterize this furniture piece aesthetics. Shield is a dining table that can be used in a contemporary kitchen or living area and can sit from 6 to 12 people according to the model.

Information for your PurchaseWith wooden or stone-effect finishes, there is no continuity between the grain of the top and the one of the extension leaves.
Technical Specifications and EquipmentStructure: composed of laser cut metal profiles, painted with epoxy powder. Corner joints moulded in aluminium alloy and then finished in polished brushed or painted finish. Legs available in metal with "Click-Clack" system or wood veneer.Top and Extension Leaves: veneer tops are 18 mm thick with bevelling edge and rounded corner or joined with "Glue Point" system which consists in gluing a 6 mm thick tempered glass, ceramic, Cleaf or Fenix laminate with rounded corners on a 12 mm thick layer below.
Please note: tables bigger than 250 cm when extended might present a slight flexion of the top which is totally normal and within the quality standards.
OptionalClick-Clack: patented system of retractable wheels which make the opening of the table easier. The mechanism is completely automatic, there is no manual lever to block / release the wheels nor a braking system. Simply by lifting the table by a couple of centimetres from the extended side you allow the wheels to come out and at the same time it avoids keeping that part ot the table up when you extend it. When the table is lowered down, the wheels will return into their hidden position allowing to stabilise the table wherever you want. We advise against the use of Click-Clack system on wooden floors. Only available for metal legs.Joints: joints are also available in polished brushed aluminium finish (standard finish is painted matching the structure).Extension leaves holder: also available in flocked fabric cover.Extension leaf: it is possible to buy a second 40 cm wide extension leaf in addition to the standard one.
For more information...Glue Point: exclusive and innovative technique for glass or ceramic tops. The tops are composed of an upper 6 mm thick top glued on a lower 12 mm layer. This type of tops are compliant to Catas test "EN 1730:2000 impact on top" and the advantages are: maximum safety in case the table brakes, same type of fixing procedures of a wooden top and the use of an extra thin glass layer.
