Masterwood: processing proposed exclusively by Cattelan Italia, which consists in the creation of tops with strips - different in size and grain - positioned diagonally. The result is an ever-changing texture and colour rendering so that each table can be considered a unique piece.
Bevelling: this is a process carried out on mirrors, glass and crystal in order to finish them and round off the edges; through this process a perimeter band is created with a width varying from 10 to 40 mm and with an angle of less than the standard 90° (generally 7°). This is a very delicate and valuable process that is carried out on highly valuable mirrors and tabletops. In the case of the Planer table, bevelling is reversed, i.e. it is performed on the underside of the table top. The long sides of the table therefore have the bevelled edge pointing downwards, while the short sides have the edge pointing upwards.
Keramik stone: Keramik stone table tops are made of a special stone-effect ceramic that picks up on the natural shades of stone. The underside of the top is made of transparent bevelled glass, which turns black after the bonding process.
When cleaning the top, it is recommended not to use steam machines or abrasive products. We recommend the use of mild liquid detergents, which should be removed with a wet sponge. In the case of stains or marks, it is recommended to rub the top with a solution of bicarbonate and water, which should be left to act for a few minutes and then wiped off with a wet sponge. As it is a porous natural material, it is important to remove the dirt immediately to prevent substances from penetrating the top.
Extra-clear glass: clear glass tends to the classic "blue-green" colour of all glass, while extra-clear glass is treated in such a way as to greatly limit this "blue-green" effect and not affect or change any other tint of the objects seen through the tabletop; for example a rug, the chairs or the structure itself.
Mirrored glass: bronze or smoked. The scratch resistance of the mirrored surface can be compared to that of a normal crystal top. Small marks and engravings caused by daily use can be accentuated and made visible by reflected light and cannot therefore be considered defects or manufacturing flaws.
CrystalArt: this is an extra-clear tempered and bevelled glass, enriched by a graphic printed on the underside of the glass during the tempering process. The design is always the same (depending on the chosen finish), but the effect changes depending on the size of the top.
