Shipping with furniture specialised carriers

diotti.com delivers mostly relying on furniture specialised carriers to guarantee a high standard of service and product integrity during shipping. Small packages or replacements parts may be delivered by express couriers. All our products travel covered by an All Risk insurance.

Customers must authorise the shipment as soon as products are ready, they will receive soon after an email confirming that the order has been shipped. It will then be the carrier to call you on the phone (usually one day before delivery) to inform you of the day and approximate time of arrival (from Monday to Friday).


Shipping Times

Shipping Times have to be added to the Production Times found in each Product Card. For Europe, times range between 1 and 3 weeks according to the destination, whereas for the US and Canada estimated times range between 4 and 6 weeks. For more information, visit here: Delivery Times.


Delivery Options

Curbside Delivery by furniture-specialised carrier is intended "at street level", whereby the customer is asked to cooperate with the driver to unload the parcels from the side of the truck, providing additional help if necessary according to the size and weight of the items purchased. This is not delivery by appointment: the customer's availability is certainly taken into account by the courier, but compatibly with the delivery schedule.

Delivery to the Floor is available in Italy for orders above € 1.500,00 and provides for delivery by appointment, to the customer's floor and room priorly specified; the cost of the service is automatically calculated in the Basket up to the 3rd floor, while there is a specific surcharge from the 4th and up to the 10th floor.

You can pick up supplies directly at our warehouse in via Nazionale dei Giovi 274  - Lentate Sul Seveso (Italy). By selecting Picking up at Warehouse, returns and replacements have to be carried out directly at our headquarters. If you wish to send a carrier of your choice to pick up the supply we strongly advise against the use of non-specialised carriers.

diotti.com does not offer assembly services. The majority of our products will be delivered pre-assembled: the assembling process normally consists of putting pre-defined parts together. You can find more information by reading our Assembling pages.
In the region of Lombardy, the Swiss canton of Tessin and Lazio region we also offer a professional assembling service (in Lombardy the service also includes removal and disposal of the packages): Customer Care is at disposal for a quote.

Warranty and Assistance

All products have a sales invoice which is valid for a 24 months warranty on conformity defects. At the moment of delivery and in the period just after that, customers must follow the Procedure for the Reception and Verification of the Products; we strongly recommend you to read it before the delivery so you can be aware of all the steps to follow and receive the best possible assistance. Standard Costs

Shipping costs are calculated according to the destination and volume of the items in the Basket; the minimum volume in Italy and abroad is 1 cubic metre.


Free Curbside Delivery

- in Italy, it is activated with an Order Total Amount exceeding € 1.500,00
- in most European countries it is activated with an Order Total Amount exceeding € 1.500,00
- in Switzerland, Spain and Ireland it is activated with an Order Total Amount exceeding € 1.500,00


DELIVERY OUTSIDE THE EU

For deliveries outside the EU, the Italian VAT is removed from the Total Amount. Shipping to anywhere outside the EU may attract local customs and duty charges, which are beyond our control and based on the customs laws of the receiving territory. We advise checking with your local authorities for import fees. For deliveries inside the U.K., you can consult our FAQ to find out said charges.

Remote Area Surcharge

Standard Shipping does not take into account possible additional charges for locations and routes that require the use of means of delivery other than semi-trailer of 7 to 12 metres in length.

For all addresses that require the use of a van (or other means of transport less than 7 metres long), a surcharge will be applied.

This supplement may be quoted and communicated at different times before the order is placed:
1- if the Customer contacts us prior to the purchase communicating the "possibility" of being in a special location, the possible supplement is calculated by the "pre-sales" Customer Service (and the verification may lead to confirmation that the supplement is not applicable, or that it is not necessary);
2- if the Customer "does not contact us before the purchase", the address is verified at the conclusion of the contract (i.e. after payment of deposit or balance), and the possible surcharge is communicated to the Customer by the "after-sales" Customer Service (it is not possible to cancel orders in production; if an order already in production includes a surcharge for special location, the options available to the Customer are either to pay the surcharge or to indicate a different address outside the "special location").

In addition to the compatibility of used vehicles and local roads, there are other cases in which surcharges will be applied:
1 - old town centres where trucks have no access
2 - unfinished buildings which are still considered construction sites
3 - minor islands
If you think you may fall within these categories, please contact us prior to purchase for better service: failure to report prior to purchase leads to invoicing later, during the production period, just before delivery, or in borderline cases even after delivery.
